Community Murals

Transforming spaces to support childhood early education

“Under The Mitzvah Star Tree” is a celebration of unity, community, and the potential of our youngest generation. At it's heart are children, symbols of acceptance and kindness , gathered beneath a flourishing tree. Blue stars of David are sprouting off of the tree, each star representing a mitzvah, or good deed. The tree reminds us that even the smallest acts of kindness have the power to uplift and connect people. This piece holds special meaning for me. I was once a preschool student at this very school where mitzvah stars are awarded to those who perform good deeds . My wish is for the mural to invite both young and old to imagine a world where goodness spreads naturally and to inspire each of us to add our own star to the branches.
